Swivel Flash
PC to Hotshoe or Hotshoe to PC?????PLZ HELP?
i am getting the Vivitar 383 soon and wanted to start using it as an off-camera flash but it has no pc port for the alienbees cybersync radio triggers that I am going to use to fire the flash.
Would this adaptor work:

Or will i need something different???

The Alien Bees transmitter is really designed to fire their strobe units, not your flash.
If you are wanting to remote trigger your flash, why are you looking at a hot shoe adaptor with a cord?
You say the flash has no PC port. If it does not, then none of this is going to do you any good. However, I DO think the Vivitar flash has a port for use with external radio transmitters / receivers.
So, why not simply use this:

I use this trigger with a Vivitar 285HV flash and it works perfectly.
