Silver White

What is the difference between platinum, diamond, silver, white gold and gold in jeweleries?
Can anyone teach me more on jeweleries, from quality wise to price? Which one doesn't rust and which one can be wore to shower?
Thanks.
None of them "rust", since they don't contain iron. Platinum, silver and gold are all very unreactive, so they don't corrode very easily either. Silver is the most reactive of the three, followed by gold and then platinum. That is also why silver is the cheapest one, gold is more expensive, and platinum is the most expensive. I think white gold is more expensive than yellow gold, but I'm not sure.
Diamond isn't a metal and thus can't really be compared with the platinum, silver, or gold; but it is shiny and hard and thus very expensive. It can be paired with any of the metals that you mentioned.
If you're going for the highest quality you can buy platinum & diamond jewellery, eg a diamond ring with a platinum band or a platinum chain with a diamond pendant.
All of them can be worn in the shower.
