Can I use stone-dust instead of sand or poly sand?
We are just finishing a pavers installation for a walkway where we are using a permacon paver (canvas) that has large gaps between the pavers. We estimate that it would be very expensive to use the poly sand to fill. We have a lot of stone dust on hand and wondered if this could be used instead of sand or poly sand? We live in Montreal Canada...we have built the base as per the Cdn manufacturers instructions. membrane +0-3/4 crush (12 inches) plus 1/2 inch compacted stone dust. Looking forward to your reply.
You can mix cement with the stone dust..Apply as a paste or dry and water it in.. It is cheap and it works.. Gee it must be getting cold up your way now.. Have a good day..
