cause of bright light in eyes after change in lighting or getting up?

Does any one know why after getting up or a drastic change in lighting that a person would experience a bright slowly dimming light covering the whole vision.

sort of light headed too? you should check your blood pressure. when you move from sit to stand your heart has to work harder to pump blood to your brain and it can cause dizziness, vision issues (like you're explaining) or even passing out. Don't get up so fast.
