Light Tripod

How to prevent blur in low light pictures?
I have a DSLR camera, and even while using a tripod, I often get blurry pictures. Can anyone tell me what settings I need to change? When I'm using low light, I don't want to make the shutter speed much faster, because it will give me darker pictures. Also, I'd like to avoid using a flash, and use the light I have.
Thanks so much
If you are using a tripod then it is not motion blur from moving the camera it will be the movements of the subject.
There is no way to overcome this if you don't want to use a faster shutter speed.
If your aperture is wide open (2.8 for instance) and you still can't get a fast enough shutter to prevent blur then the only way is to use more light. Either flash or whatever else you have.
