Light Reflector

are there any disadvantages to an enclosed ballast HPS light vs. a separate ballast?
I'm looking at purchashing a 400w HPS sunsystem 2 HID lighting system and was wondering if there was any disadvantage to buying all-in-one system that has the ballast built into the light, rather than buy a reflector and ballast separately? any ideas?
I'm not sure I fully understand what you're asking, but typically buying the whole kit together (housing, ballast, capacitor if applicable) is more cost efficient than buying it all seperately. For instance, buying a ballast kit would cost say $80, whereas buying the entire fixture which includes ballast, etc. would cost $100. It is worth it to pay the extra $20 to have backup fixture and capacitor if the cover is cracked or the capacitor is bad instead of buying just the ballast and then having something else go bad and having to buy the whole kit again. (I'm an electrician) It may seem like a wasteful $20, but if you have another problem down the road, most likely you'll have the parts available in the parts you bought but didn't need in the fixture kit available for use instead of re-purchasing a kit specifically for that one part.)
