Halogen Studio

Can you use bowens studio flash (halogen) with red head lights (tungsten) in the same shot?
I normally shoot in a studio on a white background with just 2 lights but have borrowed a set of red heads to work with as well - to give a brighter white in the background. I do not have any gels for the red heads. Can I shoot people on a white background with my bowens flash lighting them and the red heads lighting the background? I am not sure as they would have different white balances wouldn't they?
Yes you'd have a mixture of white balances. The Bowens will be balanced for daylight, the tungsten lights will be warmer.
You either gel the Bowens with CTO (orange) gels & shoot on tungsten WB or gel the tungstens with CTB (blue) and shoot daylight or flash WB.
Otherwise it'll be a pain to sort out in post. Or accept that you'll have a yellow colour cast to the b/g.
