Nikon D5000 and Nikon SB600 Flash How do I set up flash to flash without being on camera?

My husband has the D5000 and just got the SB600 flash and would like to put the flash on the table and use the camera to control the flash remotely. Is this possible with this set up? What does he need to do / buy to make this work? Thanks!

Gohaleg is right except for one minor detail: the SB-600 doesn't have a commander mode. You'll need either an SB-800 or SB-900 as commander. The 600 can only be a remote.

If you're close enough, you could use an SC-28 or 29 to trigger the flash , although it won't be wireless.
